How many HASCAP Loans have been given out to Struggling Canadian Businesses?

While many businesses still struggle with meeting the approval criteria for the HASCAP program, [Still don’t qualify? Check out these Canadian Small Business Loans instead] as of the end of September 2021, more than 8,422 Canadian businesses have received a HASCAP loan, totaling more than $1.8 billion in loans.

The BDC has a HASCAP dashboard that shows the distribution of HASCAP loans by Canadian province if you want to check out the latest developments in the HASCAP program. The cumulative totals for non-audited amounts through July 31, 2021 are listed below.

Noteworthy, more than 53% of all federal funds have been loaned to businesses in Ontario and more than 20% to the province of Ontario.
